Cherry Malichi, associate general counsel at Progress Residential, has been honored with a 2025 Connect CRE: Lawyers in Real Estate Award. The award recognizes attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional legal leadership in real estate matters and made tangible contributions to the broader industry and communities they serve.
Malichi is being recognized for her leadership in resident-centered legal strategy, including her support of rental assistance partnerships, expanded access to affordable housing programs and enhancements to safeguards that protect residents and company operations. She has also supported Progress Residential’s government affairs work and provides ongoing training and mentorship to teams across the company.
“This recognition reflects the power of collaborative problem-solving,” Malichi said. “I am proud of the work our teams do every day to advance resident-focused solutions that aim to support stability and strengthen the communities we serve.”
