Renewing Your Lease

We love our residents and we work hard to provide you with a fantastic home and great service, so that when it comes time to renew your lease, it’s a simple decision. This page will provide you with all the information you need to move easily through the renewals process.

Lease Renewal Process

Renewal offers are sent by email approximately 95 days before your lease ends. At that time, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Renewal Specialist to guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have. A 60-day notice is required prior to your move-out date if you do not plan to renew.

Your Renewal Specialist will confirm your information, discuss any updates or changes to the lease, review your options, and provide a new Lease Agreement to sign through DocuSign. Once signed, your new lease will automatically take effect when your current lease expires.

Not Interested in Renewing?

Please remember, unless otherwise stated in your lease, you are required to give 60 days notice if you intend to end your lease. You can give your notice by filling out our Move Out Notice.

Preparing to Renew

As you approach the time to renew your lease, we recommend being ready to answer some of the following questions.

How long would you like to be in the home?

You’ll have the option to renew your lease, based on the terms offered. If the terms offered don’t fit your needs, let us know. Shorter lease terms may be available upon request, subject to HOA restrictions. If it aligns with your plans, the 24-month option is a great way to lock in your home longer.

Are there any changes to the lease?

Will the same roommates continue to live with you? Have you added a pet to the home? Please be sure to let us know if any changes need to be made to your lease.

Month-to-Month

Residents may request a month-to-month lease, subject to approval. Month-to-month leases include a monthly premium based on the home's current market rent and require a 30-day notice prior to move-out. Homes located in HOAs are subject to restrictions, which may prohibit month-to-month terms. Any penalties assessed for non-renewal will be passed along to the resident.

While month-to-month leases may be available, we recommend renewing for one of the available fixed terms. Progress provides flexible lease options. If an offered lease term doesn't work for you, please contact your Renewal Specialist, as we may have other options.
